NODULE RECOVERY ACTIVE
The collector lifts polymetallic nodules from the plain and pumps them up the riser to the surface vessel. Return water is discharged low to limit how far the sediment plume spreads — but fine sediment can still drift and can be slow to settle, so where you work matters.

THE NODULE
FIELD

Pilot a collector ROV from the surface 5,000 m down to the nodule field. Log the animals you meet, survey every depth zone, then run the collector on the plain — cleanly.

  • Look — drag the water.
  • Dive / rise — tap ▲ ▼, scroll, or press ↑ ↓ / W S.
  • Log life & nodules — tap a creature or nodule, or a name in the sonar-contacts list.
  • Lights — it gets dark fast; tap lights (or press L) for the yellow floodlights, again for white, again for off.
  • Collector — tap ● run collector (or Space) to start it; tap again to stop. Run it 20 s on the plain.
  • Finish — tap ▲ surface & debrief twice, or wait for the 9-minute battery. Then a 6-question quiz.

+150 a species (all 14 for a bonus) · +75 a new zone · +250 for the plain · +100 a nodule sample · +150 for a 20 s recovery run · +200 a quiz answer · −25 per animal the collector disturbs, which also sets your stewardship grade.
