Nodule Venture
Run American Sāmoa's deep-sea mining venture for 10 quarters: make a profit, pay the Territory its royalty, and keep the seafloor damage below the regulator's limit. The same dollars buy yield, plume containment or goodwill — never all three.
- Tap a fogged block on the grid to survey it ($7). It reveals the nodule grade, fauna and a field note.
- Tap a rover in the roster, then tap a surveyed block to deploy it. Buy more rovers, buoys and upgrades in the shipyard.
- Drag each rover's sliders: throttle (tonnes vs cost and disturbance) and return-water depth (plume vs pumping cost).
- Tap End Quarter. Prices move, one event fires, metal sells, and 12% of the gross goes to the community fund. Repeat for 10 quarters.
01
Survey, then recover
A block must be characterised before a rover can work it. Survey reveals grade, fauna, plume sensitivity — and a field note.
02
Tune every rover
Throttle trades cost for tonnes; return-water depth trades pumping cost for a smaller plume.
03
Mind the grade
Plume + fauna − monitoring sets your stewardship grade. Hit F and the regulator shuts you down.
Win condition
By quarter 10, reach $200 cumulative profit and $85 in the community fund — while never letting stewardship fall to F. Hard targets: $300 / $130.
